Join Indivisible Boca Raton this Friday, May 1st from 10–11:30am at the Home Depot on Glades Rd. (9820 Glades Rd., Boca Raton, FL) for a May Day rally standing up for workers, families, and democracy.

May Day has deep roots in the American labor movement. In 1886, workers took to the streets demanding an 8-hour workday, fighting back against an era when robber barons like Carnegie and Rockefeller hoarded staggering wealth while workers toiled in dangerous conditions for poverty wages. That struggle won us weekends, overtime pay, and workplace safety laws. Today, that fight is far from over.

Since the 1970s, worker productivity has risen over 60% while wages have barely kept pace. Meanwhile, the wealth of America's billionaire class has exploded. The top 1% now holds more wealth than the entire middle class combined. Housing costs have nearly doubled in a decade. Groceries, healthcare, and childcare eat up more of a family's paycheck than at any point in modern memory, while corporations post record profits and billionaires fund super PACs to shape the very laws meant to protect us.

On May 1st, we stand together to say: enough. Tax the rich. Protect our vote. Keep federal power in check. No private army, no unchecked ICE, no war.

This is a peaceful, nonviolent action. Bring your neighbors, your family, and your voice.

Workers over billionaires. Together we stand.
